I had oodles of fun with my beers and Rum...i could drank more, but decided that alcohol poisioning wasn't appropriate this weekend.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy

It's been a while since i've posted any of my thoughts, but that's because i've found so much video content to show everyone, and well, video is more exciting than text. I was just hired by a large video game and entertainment firm as a network tech admin guy. This will be a challenging position which totally suits me. This firm does a lot of really interesting business. I can't really get into it here, but I'm amazed that a company like this exists in Fredericton. Everyone I work with is really nice and friendly.

Things are going really well for me lately. I'm working as a production assistant on Joel Thompson's no budget thriller "They Didn't Make It". In September I will be working as a grip on a comedy being shot in Moncton starring my bud Joshua Kole Linton.

Project X is coming along nicely. I have lots of people interested in getting this thing off the ground. I still need as much content as possible. So if anyone has an idea for a sitcom type show, a cooking show, a newscast, a weather show...whatever, let me know and I will plan it with you and post it here. If anyone has a digi cam that does video and audio, shoot ANYTHING, post it on youtube, and tell me about it...i will add it to this blog.

Here is a video of Josh in Moncton:

I can't wait for The Nintendo DS Opera Internet Browser to come out in September.
This will allow me to connect to the internet using my portable DS via WiFi signals floating
around downtown Fredericton. This will come in handy whenever i travel as more Wi-Fi hotspots are poping up everywhere in the world. This Opera browser will make the Nintendo DS the cheapest WiFi internet device on the market, which is great news for Nintendo and its shareholders.

10 Worst Actual Company URLs

These are all real, check them out yourself!

Attn Entrepeneurs :Everyone knows that if you are going to operate a business in today’s world you need a domain name. It is advisable to look at the domain name selected as other see it and not just as you think it looks. Failure to do this may result in situations such as the following (legitimate) companies who deal in everyday humdrum products and services but clearly didn’t give their domain names enough consideration:

1. A site called ‘Who Represents‘ where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name… wait for it… is www.whorepresents.com

2. Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at www.expertsexchange.com

3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at www.penisland.net

4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at www.therapistfinder.com

5. Then of course, there’s the Italian Power Generator company… www.powergenitalia.com

6. And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales: www.molestationnursery.com

7. If you’re looking for computer software, there’s always www.ipanywhere.com

8. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is www.cummingfirst.com

PEI Shananagans

I think i'm going to build a home in PEI after i make my first million. It was great to get out there to visit ol Simon and his friends and family. It's been about 2 years since he and I have wreaked havoc. I arrived to Ch'town after a grueling 5 hour bus ride. I actually don't mind long drives as long as i have music, my Nintendo DS and some reading material. Simon and his friend John picked me up from the bus station and then we drove around some more!

We ended up drinking on John's beach whilst we burned a few stacks of flyers. (which really make amazing burning material) We were at the beach until the sun came up, discussing a project that i hope works out. We put the fire out, and hopped boulder to boulder along the beach back to his cottage. Of coarse we had to have a quick game of cribbage just to end the night on a competitive note. Oddly enough I actually beat him! Though in Simons' defence, he WAS drunk :P

The next morning / afternoon, we decided to get some brekky in Ch'town at 3 pm. This was my frist time in charlottetown, and I must say that i really enjoyed the atmosphere in that lil town. I bought a neat lil wooden pirate sword for $5 amongst other useful items of interest. After we circled downtown a few times, we grabbed some Carona's and took a cab back to the cottage.

We then decided to take in a game of golf upon arrival. We headed out to a really nice coarse and naturally brought our cervesa with us plus a micky of rum. Things started out alright, even though we forgot a score card. We just played for fun, no wagers on this round.

THEN, well things turned for the worse...or better depending on how you look at it. We only had enough time to play 9 holes...well really 8 because the darkness snuck up on us. There was absolutly nobody there, so Simon and I decided to play around on the power cart.

Eventually it was too dark to see the ball, so we had to call it a night, but overall it was a fun time, seeing how it was my first time out this year. We hitched a ride back to the cottage, refuelled on beer and then headed out to the marina to meet some of Simon's friends. We met some fun people, and continued drinking until about 2:30ish. Since we skipped out on dinner, we decided to eat some expensive dirty Chinese food whilst waiting about 45 mins for a bloody cab. Overall, the trip was a much needed getaway from the real world. I've been getting very anxious over reading about Israel bombing Lebanon, where my father's side of my family lives.

This war is angering me by the minute. I just read that Israel bombed my family's hometown, so i'm very nervous to read the news. I was hoping to keep politics out of this blog, but i can't help but to express my angst towards the right wing of Israel. I am also very upset at many articles that i'm reading about the US supporting Israel's war against Lebanese civilians. I will stop now as i could rant about this for ages. All i ask is that anyone reading this, please take the time to read about the atrocities that Israel is committing as we speak.

For now, enjoy a comedic clip of Simon and I driving the golf cart after a few wobbly pops.

The Headbutt Heard 'Round the World

Italy Wins!

What a fantastic finish to a well played World Cup 2006 final. Both teams played a fantastic match, unfortunately things got ugly near the end. If you missed kidneys infamous headbutt heard 'round the world, well here is a brief summary of what apparently went down.

According to the UK Sun online, a lipreader deciphered what words were uttered to Zidane before he lost it on Italian Marco Materazzi. The brutal slur was aimed at Zidane's ill mother. Aparently Materazzi called Zidane a "son of a terrorist whore" which made Zidane furious since he, as many Albanians are sensitive on the Albanian terrorist issue. There was an exchange of words that followed Materazzi tweaking the nipple of Zidane. "What, don't you like it?" The French captain replied: "A bit too hard to turn me on." Then Materazzi shouted: "Well, I did it that way because I know that’s how your mother likes it.” Materazzi’s agent denied any racist slur — and said the attack came when Zidane offered to swap shirts later and the Italian replied: “I’d rather take the shirt off your wife.”

Materazzi does have a reputation of being a dirty player. In the past he has injured many players due to his careless high kicks, and questionable slide tackles. I came across this video of him on youtube.com which really demonstrates the wreckless style of this Italian player.

The story of Zidane's final professional career ending with a red card and an early trip to the showers exploded into the blogisphere within minutes of the incident. The game itself WAS indeed inIeresting, but i think the bigger story lies within the dialogue which exchanged between the 2. Materazzi should have eggs thrown at him and shamed for the comments he made, if indeed that IS what he said to Zidane. Materazzi calling Zidane's ill mother a terrorist is great example of ignorAlbanianso the Albinians culture. Of coarse though, internet geeks all over the planet had some fun with this.

White Water Raft Project

This is where I will be rafting this weekend!

I'm quite excited to take on my second ever rafting adventure.

I will be making a potential sacrifice by rigging my Sony 8mm cam up to a hockey helmet. Hopefully i will be able to capture each hit as we chute thru the rapids. I'm hoping that the waterproofing will keep the camera alive so that i can continue to use my new lil friend.

After i digitize the film i will definetly post footage here for everyone to see, as long as i make it back ok.
